The Things that Haunt Us

I have always been really fascinated by abandoned places. They make me kind of sad when I see how the life has been sucked out of a place and how the places deteriorate over time. However, the stories they hold within are endless...at least in my mind. It fascinates me to think about the people who use to spend time in such places, and now all that remains is the hint of a memory.

Anyway, my friend Julia (who did a photoshoot for me last summer) and I thought we would have some fun over our winter break. We decided to do our hair and makeup all glammed up....well really Julia did that part because she's way better with those things than I am. And then we did some exploring. I convinced her to take pictures at this abandoned house I have always been so intruiged by. Disclaimer for my probably-concerned family reading this, I promise we didn't go into any areas that looked too unstable or dilapidated.

I love how these came out, and Jul is a great model for me!

PS- No light leaks/effects were added to these photos. Any light leaks were just sun rays naturally coming into my lens :)
