About

When I was thirteen, I received my first professional camera. My parents gave me it for Christmas; it was all I had wanted. I was in love. I knew from that moment wanted to know everything I could about photography.

Luckily for me, my older cousin Briane had her own photography business and took me under her wing. She taught me how to use it, and since then I've always shot manual. I was fortunate enough to gain experience under her, and I shot my first wedding with her at the young age of 13. Since then, I have shot many more with her, fine tuning my skills each and every time.

I have always been fascinated by the art of photography. It amazes me how you can just imagine something in your head, and it becomes your job to arrange your subjects and everything else to make that imagination become visible to others. It's all about the little tricks of light, finding the balance of light and dark and using it to create the most beautiful image you can. There is no better feeling than looking down at your camera screen and seeing that tiny preview of the image pop up, showing exactly what you had been hoping for. You feel a rush inside you and become excited to do that over and over. I never get tired of that.

I especially love shooting weddings because, although it is a long, crazy day, it is a day full of happiness and love. Everyone is having the time of their lives dancing the night away with those close to them, and the bride and groom can't take their eyes off of each other. And you can't help but feel your heart swell a little bit when you capture those little moments that most of the other people there did not see.

If you're still reading this, thank you. And thank you for taking the time to check out my blog. I love photography; and I hope that when you scroll through these photos, you'll love them too and see how I have poured my heart and soul into all of them.
